          Job Description:

          Requires proficiency and accuracy in all aspects of laboratory testing of section to which assigned. Performs and is responsible for department operations as assigned.

          All employees are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Palmetto Health’s values of compassion, dignity, excellence, integrity and teamwork.

          Requirements:

          Education: Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from an ASCP certification approved program

          Experience: Minimum 4 months experience as MLT (ASCP)

          Number and Type of Employees Supervised: None

          Licensure, Registry or Certification Required: MLT- ASCP

          Special Training: Must possess knowledge and skills to perform laboratory tests on patients of all ages, computer skills preferred, interpersonal skills.
