          Responsibilities

           

          Position Summary:

          The National Account Manager is responsible for sales to key customers in the retail,, distribution and OEM channels for our Trimmer Line and Trimmer Heads business. The National Account Manager is expected to consistently provide excellent customer service to various accounts, and represent the customer¿s needs within the organization to ensure customer satisfaction and sales growth. In addition, the Account Manager should build relationships with customers to encourage new and repeat business opportunities.

          Essential Functions:

          * Responsible for all client communications within a certain group of customers.
          * Drive continuous improvement of retail programs to drive sales and margin growth
          * Provide product recommendations and quotations.
          * Preparation of annual customer Product Line Reviews
          * Work closely with the Consumer Products team to implement programs and seasonal promotions at the retail level.
          * Ensure that customer issues are dealt with promptly and efficiently
          * Coordinate efforts in supply chain, production and shipping in order to meet customer needs and business objectives.
          * Provide regular input and reporting on all account activity to Business Manager, including status and call reports.

          Qualifications

            

          * Bachelor degree (business or marketing preferred)
          * Minimum 3 years of Account Management experience in mass retail with proven skills required to create, maintain and enhance customer relationships (lawn & garden or seasonal preferred)
          * Extremely detail oriented
          * Motivated, goal oriented, persistent and a skilled negotiator
          * Team oriented with a high level of initiative and work well in a team environment. 
          * Excellent written and oral communication skills
          * Handles stressful situations and deadline pressures well
          * Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
