Job Description :
Principal Role:
Responsible for the direct supervision of warehouse associates in a service parts distribution environment.
Essential Duties:
Act as distribution manager role in his/her absence
Train associates as necessary; document training events
Ensure company policies are followed
Audit and ensure accuracy of material receipts, customer order shipments and bin accuracy
Address and resolve personnel issues working with warehouse manager
Communicate with crossfuntional teams to resolve inventory and customer order problems
Troubleshoot problems and recommend corrective actions
Track and monitor warehouse associate attendance
Assist in writing job descriptions for warehouse associates
Facilitate analysis and problem solving between ISG / WCS and REX
Develop and implement warehouse policies and procedures
Assist in physical inventories
Create performance metrics and publish
Create and maintain SOP’s
Assists in the maintenance of the warehouse and office equipment and is the primary backup for the maintenance technician.
Ensure an orderly and neat warehouse environment
Order supplies as needed
Promote a safe work environment
Comprehensive understanding of WCS functionality and ensures proper processes are followed
Ensure performance goals are accomplished
Job Requirements :
Preferred Qualifications:
* Education & Training: Minimum Associates degree or equivalent
* Business experience: 1 to 3 years warehouse employee supervisor experience
* Other:Fork truck certification. Good communication skills. Proven coaching, and training skills and the ability to evaluate associate performance. Mechanical skill sets to perform basic maintenance on warehouse and office equipment.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
